Ribeiro won the SPE LatinAmerica and
Caribbean Student Paper Contest – Master Degree Level with the work “3D
Visualization of Oil Displacement by a Suspension of Microcapsules applied on
EOR”. He used confocal microscopy to visualize trapped oil ganglia
distribution inside porous media after water injection and after the injection
of a suspension of microcapsules. Congratulations, Raphael!
